Alaska Part 2: Juneau Whalewatching

Home computer's still fried (blue screen of death, going to the Dell doctor this week), but I've recovered our second set of photos from David's laptop.

Our whale watching tour outside Juneau was wonderful. We took about a zillion photos, but I tried to pull out just a few highlights.

The first bald eagles we saw were just hanging out on the beach

This eagle was out to sea and was soon joined by two others... they made for an impressive air show.

Lighthouse on shore

We had the chance to see about a dozen humpback whales. This one's on his way down for a deep dive.
Another humpback whale tail... diving

These sea lions were hanging out on a buoy. There were another two who circled a while, sticking up their noses or trying to flop themselves on, but the buoy was booked to capacity.

Swimming sea lion... giving up on the buoy, thought he'd look into sunbathing on our boat... no such luck.

Puffin flapping around

Tired Puffin, just floating

Cold, windblown happy tourists! :)
Tomorrow... on to Skagway!
