Last weekend we went over to the new house and took a walk around the neighborhood with Pepper. It was a beautiful sunny day and the park (about 8 houses down from ours) was full of dads playing catch with their kids, toddlers on the swings, families eating picnic lunches... quite a diversity of families, even. It would have been perfect for shooting propaganda on the American Dream. I love our new home, but I love the new neighborhood so much more. As we walked down the streets I just reveled in the happy family-ness of it all and knowing our own little one would be on those swings before too long.
Charlie asked for photos -- they were taken by the last owner when it went up for sale:

When you walk in there's the big open living space you see, which will be a combination of dining room to the right, then formal living area, then casual den with TV, then 'study' in what would have been the breakfast nook. The kitchen is to the right of all of that. To the left of the living space is the three bedrooms with 2 baths -- they're nice but not exciting enough to post pictures. It definitely has some work to be done, but overall it was a good buy. And Pepper's got a great backyard.
