I don't think any of our guests were actually aware of the drama preceding the party... the bathroom flood, the wet guest and baby bedrooms, the rented equipment for drying the carpets, the scary smell that lets you know there is most definitely a plumbing problem, and then (thank the Good Lord)... the plumber. Despite a little drama to keep us on our toes, the weekend was a wonderful one with friends and family, and Jonathan had a lot of fun at his party. Here are (more than) a few snapshots.

Jonathan's Very Hungry Caterpillar Cake.
Made with love, and lots of food coloring, by Mom
Jonathan's Gramps (my Grandpa) read the kids "The Very Hungry Caterpillar" before we cut the cake. It was great. He's such a good story teller!

Dig in!
No, really Mom, I can fit this bite in my mouth.
David explains the Korean Tol and the objects on the table that Jonathan will pick from. We had people guess what he'd pick, and his Uncle Justin won a fabulous prize :)

To the delight of his grandfather's, Jonathan picked the golf ball at his Korean Tol. David was excited to note that this is the same day Y.E. Yang became the first S. Korean to win a major Golf Tournament.

N: Jonathan, what are you WEARING?
J: Not sure, Nathaniel, but I don't think you wear this on your birthday.
Jonathan's Aunt Kimie and Uncle Daniel made Jonathan this great "Grow With Me" Giraffe. It matches his room's jungle theme and we can measure how "big" he is. TOO CUTE!

David and Jonathan eating leftover Korean food after the party. Yummy!

The next day we celebrated Jonathan's Baptism at our Church. Jonathan had lots of family to share this special and meaningful day with him. Thanks to everyone who came to spend the weekend celebrating with us!
