We're having a blast. Life with Jonathan gets more fun every day -- more smiles, big silent open-mouth laughs, and loads of "agoo," and "owe." Jonathan just loves talking to us, and we get a big kick out of it. Week number 8 has been an eventful one:
My parents visited Wednesday and Thursday, and Jonathan enjoyed charming his grandparents with all he's learned since they last saw him two weeks ago. He loves hanging out with them, and we're grateful for a few minutes to get errands run and go to dinner together. Not that we don't spend the dinner talking about him, but at least we can both eat at the same time!
Jonathan went to the pediatrician on Thursday for an early 2 month check-up and his first set of shots. Mommy finds it much easier to write orders for other kids' vaccines than to watch her own baby cry through them, so Daddy held Jonathan for the shots and entertained him the whole time. Our pediatrician was full of good ideas and advice, and we're looking forward to working towards 5 hours of sleep in the next few weeks! A few doses of Tylenol later, we're past the yuckies and have forgotten all about the shots over the fun weekend.
The highlight of the week was a weekend in San Antonio for my 5 year Trinity reunion. David, Jonathan, and I spent Friday through Sunday in San Antonio and had a wonderful time with old friends. It was wonderful how the friendships felt like we'd only left San Antonio a few weeks ago, and Jonathan got more than his fair share of attention, cuddles, kisses, and some really cute baby gifts. We're too spoiled!
This week Jonathan meets his Halmony & Hariboge -- his grandparents from Minnesota.

Friends from Garland: Christy and Ashley
