Fire Museum, First Day of MDO

We've had a fun week!
This morning we took a little family trip to the Fire Museum.

Driving the fire truck!

Jonathan noticed the fire hose was laying separate from the hydrant and tried to help "fix" the fire hydrant.

It was fun to dress up like a fire man! Daddy helped Jonathan put on hat, gloves, and coat.

Jonathan made a game out of running around the house in circles with buckets on his head the other evening. It entertained him for quite some time and made for some silly pictures.

Friday was Jonathan's first day at Mother's Day Out. He met his teacher and lots of new friends, had a story time, art time, and music time. We're looking forward to the year ahead!

Jonathan was very excited about the new nap mat with John Deer Tractors that his great-grandmother Nana bought him for his birthday. He has loved pulling it on to "sleep" this week, and actually did take a nice nap at Mother's Day Out on it on Friday.

Jonathan told me he needed to wear his back pack out the door to school on Friday, but first had a ride his horsey before we could head out.
Back pack on, lunch box in hand, ready to go!
Walking into "school" for his first day.
It was a little scary to arrive and find the only other child in his class who'd arrived yet was screaming and crying for her Mommy as though they'd cut off her fingers. Jonathan went from excited to tearful himself, but soon felt better after meeting his teachers and finding some cars and trucks to play with. I took this picture from the door to reassure myself he was playing happily when I left :) He had a good day, met some nice friends, and is looking forward to returning next week!
