We just returned from a wonderful long weekend with the Kims-and-Hongs family in Minnesota, and it was sooooo hard to keep this secret and not spoil the surprise! Last week David's team at work called my cell phone to tell me he had won MD Anderson's Best Boss award. They were so excited, and they invited me to be there at the departmental meeting this morning when they presented the award. Five awards were given among 230 nominated physicians and 70 finalists. I over heard his own boss and chairman say to him this morning, "No one deserves it more," and she is right. David puts so much thought and prayer into his role as head of his extensive clinical and research team. It is wonderful to see that effort recognized and celebrated. Congrats, David!
