Spring in Dallas

Last weekend the kids and I went to Dallas to meet up with my sister, brother, and sister-in-law, and visit with my parents of course. We had a wonderful weekend. I haven't seen my sister in three months and especially enjoyed catching up with her and exchanging stories.
This was a very animated story about a girl from work...
... and a guy from work...
... who had a scar about right there on his forehead. We think they're probably dating, but it's not 100% clear.Heather lives about 9 hours away... but I'm begging God to get us somehow closer. Who knows, maybe they'll open a cutting edge cancer research center in Oklahoma City doing the exact trials David specializes in. Yeah... Oklahoma City... unlikely... but maybe.

Anyways, it was a wonderful weekend with my family. On Sunday we went to the Dallas Arboretum and enjoyed a picnic with Daniel, Kimie, Lucy, Heather, Mom, and Dad.

The tulip gardens were just amazing.

Seeing my adorable niece Lucy was definitely a highlight of the trip. She started crawling a matter of hours after our last visit, so this was my first visit with a mobile little Lucy -- so fun!
Once we were back at Nonnie and Papa's house, Jonathan worked with his Papa at the "construction site."

He also offered to remove the thorns from their roses with his pliers.
Bedtime stories with his aunt are a special treat. We miss all of you already!
