Photo Update for Hong Team Meeting

A selection from Jonathan's first week home

First bath... not so fun, but all better now cuddled up in a towel

Daddy's special cuddle hold... he's the Baby Whisperer!

LOTS of kisses

The Hong Family, at home

Jonathan joins us for Sunday night prayers

He actually has her wrapped around HIS finger, but for this photo it's vice versa

Pepper stands guard -- nobody's touching this sleeping baby

Out and about -- our first shopping trip!

This week in Baby News:
We're loving having Jonathan home, and are very appreciate to Jenn's Mom and Dad for the time they've spent with us. Jonathan's Nana has been a huge help as we've adjusted to life with baby. It's amazing to see how much he's already changed in a week... We've gone from complete melt-downs over an empty tummy to whimpers that let us know he's ready to eat again. He's become quite the expert feeder and has already returned to birthweight and a bit beyond. As brothers do, Pepper and Jonathan have quite a bit in common -- in addition to being avid eaters, they apparently both hate baths but love playing with the towel afterwards. Pepper seems to be adjusting well to losing his status as only child and has become quite protective of Jonathan. Our first family walk was a success on the second take. First attempt had Jonathan in tears by the time we made it to the front porch, then cancellation for rain. Second attempt Jonathan slept cozy in his sling with Mom, and Dad and Pepper hit all the usual sniffing spots. The double-snuggle sleeper routine has been a great success for parental sleep... At bedtime Jonathan gets swaddled in one blanket, followed by the SwaddleMe blanket (i.e. baby straight jacket). He's snug and content and sleeps in his cradle a good 2 to 3 hours between feeds -- quite the improvement from the first few nights, when nothing but Mom's or Dad's arms would do.
