A quick update from Caldwell, Texas. Thank you to our friends and family for your prayers. Jonathan and I are at my family's ranch in Caldwell, about 2.5 hours outside of Houston and are staying with my family for the time being. David is in Minnesota with his family for a family reunion and is hoping to return Sunday evening. We hear from our neighbors that our home appears relatively unharmed and has not flooded, but it appears that 90% of Houston is without electricity, and that it may be a matter of weeks to restore power to the city. My brother and sister-in-law who live in Galveston are with us as well and have no news on the state of their home and property. Please continue to pray for those who have been affected by the hurricane and for prompt recovery and restoration of power and water to the cities.
Jonathan is doing great and hasn't been bothered a bit by the hurricane. He's enjoying lots of time with his great-grandmother, Nana, and aunts and uncle. We love visiting with family but do hope to be able to return home soon.
