Easter morning was off to a good start with a yummy French Toast breakfast.
While getting ready for church Jonathan climbed onto the glider ottoman in his room, which rocks a bit. He piled "two blankies!" on top, then got up and straddled the ottoman, rocking it so he was barely balanced on top. He patted the ottoman and looked at me -- "Ney Ney!" (what he calls his rocking horse). Then taped his head -- "Cowboy!"
"You're a cowboy, Jonathan?" He nodded his head vigorously.
"Do you want your cowboy hat?" Now nodding until he just about tipped over. I wish I had a picture. I pulled down the cowboy hat he hadn't worn since the Rodeo, and he proudly proclaimed himself "Cowboy!" of the ottoman. He then went back to talking about the "Baby cow sleep," from our day at the Rodeo. I hadn't realized how much he remembers! This Texan mama was quite proud of her little Cowboy.

We enjoyed the service at our home church, and Jonathan always enjoys staying in the sanctuary for worship. We've learned he does best if we sit on the front row, where he can see the worship team. Otherwise he spends more time making friends in the rows behind us than he does facing forward! He enjoyed clapping and bopping along as usual this morning and likes to raise his hands when we sees the worship leaders doing so. Then he had a great time playing with his friends in the nursery during the sermon and communion. We returned home to a beautiful sunny day and spent some time in the back yard.
We wish you each a wonderful celebration of our Savior's Resurrection. Happy Easter!
