Grandma, Grandpa, and a morning of Construction!

We always have a fun time when we head over to spend the day with Grandma and Grandpa, but this morning's activities were especially exciting.  Grandma called this weekend to tell us that we could probably count on seeing some construction during our visit today, as many of the roads in their neighborhood are being re-done.

As soon as we arrived, Jonathan asked about a cement mixer he recalled being at the bottom of one of the closets, and Grandma kindly dug it out for him to take along on the adventure.

Then we headed down the street to find the construction.

Just around the corner we discovered the first of many cement mixers.

This boy was quite excited!

Abby enjoyed the walk, too, appreciated the interesting vehicles for a while, and eventually did a little digging in the mud herself.

Aby runs to get in on the picture ;)

Of course, I wasn't the only one snapping shots.

WHOAH!  That's one giant excavator.

Jonathan made sure his own vehicle got in on the action, too.

Thanks for such a fun, morning, Grandma and Grandpa!!!
