Family Vacation in San Antonio & Family Night at the Hospital

We took a little family vacation to San Antonio earlier this spring and had the most wonderful trip. The highlight was definitely catching up with dear friends. We met up with a number of friends from Trinity, including Lisa and Myke, Audra and Bryan, and their most adorable daughter, Addie. We were tickled to get to have lunch with the Salter family, too.

Lunch with Shawn, Tiffany, and Abigail. It was so nice to catch up with dear friends and see their wonderful daughter.
With Lisa and Audra in front of our old dorm. We actually stopped by to say "hi" to the new residents. It's really weird how much younger college kids have gotten in the past few years.
Couldn't resist an after church brunch at our old stomping ground! Mabee Dining Hall still has awesome waffles.

San Antonio with the munchkins wouldn't be complete without Sea World. Little Abby napped in her stroller for most of the morning, but Jonathan really enjoyed seeing the animals.

Jonathan feeding the dolphins... a huge thrill.

The mystery show starred a walrus, sea lions, and an otter... plus their human trainers.
Sliding with Daddy
Meeting Cookie Monster was a big treat
Watching Shamu

I took these photos a few weeks ago when I took the kids up to David's hospital for dinner. He moonlights one or two evenings a month, and since I'm home now more we're often able to go up and have dinner with Daddy. The kids LOVE going up to see him, and it's nice that we don't have to give up dinner as a family for him to work those nights. Jonathan especially enjoys exploring all the attractions of the surgical waiting room, including the fish tank. He earnestly believes his father's job is to feed the fish. We're so amused that we admit to perpetuating the belief. He also always notes his Daddy's "funny green scrub clothes."
